I am so pleased to join the Member for Cooper, Ged Kearney to announce that a re-elected Albanese Labor Government will deliver $700,000 to the Darebin Creek Management Committee to support their work protecting the creek and its surrounds.

The new works will include restoring habitats, installing nest boxes for sugar gliders and native birds, and creating “fish hotels” to support small native fish.

This builds on the investments our Government is making to protect our local urban rivers and waterways, including at Diamond Creek, Yarra Flats Park, and Merri Creek.
